Sea freight

The most cost-effective way to move larger volumes from Asia and overseas. Full containers (FCL) and groupage (LCL) – from port to your door.

We arrange sea freight together with shipping lines and partners in the countries of origin. We take care of container booking, loading at the supplier, documents, customs clearance and transport from the European port by truck or rail.

Containers usually come through ports such as Hamburg, Rotterdam, Koper or Gdańsk – depending on price, time and delivery address.

What we arrange for you

  • Full container (FCL)

A 20', 40' or 40' HC container just for your goods.

  • Groupage (LCL)

For smaller volumes you pay only for the cubic metres your goods take up.

  • Door to door

Pickup at the supplier, ocean freight, port handling and delivery to you.

  • Customs clearance

Import customs procedure, duty and VAT calculation and complete documents.

  • Onward transport

From the port by truck or intermodally by rail.

  • Cargo insurance

Insurance on request for peace of mind.

When it makes sense

  • You ship larger volumes or heavy goods.
  • Price matters more than time.
  • You import regularly and plan stock ahead.
  • The goods can't go by air or it doesn't pay off.

How it works

  1. Send us the pickup location, volume in m³ or number of pallets, weight and Incoterms.

  2. We compare FCL and LCL and prepare a quote with price and transit time.

  3. We arrange booking, loading and the bill of lading (B/L).

  4. When the ship arrives, we handle customs clearance and delivery to you.

Frequently asked questions

When does LCL pay off and when a full container?
Groupage (LCL) usually pays off for smaller volumes. For larger volumes – often from roughly 13 to 15 m³ – a full 20' container tends to be better value. We always compare both options for you.
How long does shipping from China take?
The sea voyage from China to North European ports usually takes around 30 to 45 days. Add time for loading, port handling, customs clearance and onward transport. You will get an exact estimate in our quote.
What are Incoterms and why do they matter?
Incoterms define where the seller's responsibility and costs end and yours begin – for example EXW, FOB or CIF. The delivery term determines which part of the transport we arrange. We will advise which works best for you.
Will I pay customs duty on import?
Imports from outside the EU are subject to customs duty under the tariff and import VAT. The duty depends on the HS code of the goods and the country of origin. We help you calculate it before you order.
